I'm sure the world is aware of the heartbreaking events that happened in Manchester on 22nd May following the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena so I won't go into details.
The most amazing thing about it has been the response to these tragic attacks in Manchester and now the London attacks on Saturday night. There are some incredibly generous people out there who have shown so much love and passion for these wonderful cities.
We wanted to give something back and to help the families of the victims so we decided that we would offer ALL PROFITS from the sale of our Manchester Worker Bee necklace to the We Love Manchester appeal that had been set up by the Red Cross. We had launched the necklace at a market two days prior to the attack in Manchester so felt that we would be the least we could do.
Originally we had said that all profits up to the end of July would be donated, not thinking we would receive many orders as we are only a small independent business (actually, just one woman!).
Since we posted about this a week ago we have had over 60 orders, raising over £560 already which is absolutely outstanding and we thank each and every one of you for your support! The love for Manchester has travelled far and wide, we have had orders from up and down the country and even internationally - everyone loves Manchester and wants to show their support!
Unfortunately given the amount of orders received and the fact that I am a 'one woman production line', I have had to make the difficult decision to shorten the length of time I can keep this offer open otherwise I will have no time to make any other orders or stock to sell and ultimately my business could suffer - I hope you understand!
I will now donate all profits from sales of this necklace until the end of JUNE
It was a tough decision to make but I genuinely didn't expect the phenomenal response I have had in just a week!
For anyone that has ordered a necklace, as you can imagine there will be a slight delay on delivery - I'm hoping to have all orders I have received so far made and shipped within the next 1-2 weeks.
